Michele's Bio

Michele Marchitto, an emerging artist in the contemporary scene, is known for his "Ombre Sbagliate" series, which explores the concept of perception and reality through the innovative use of light and shadow. His works play with the idea that what we see can be deceptive, inviting the observer to question the veracity of his own visual perception. Marchitto uses various materials and techniques to create compositions that challenge the viewer to reconsider their interpretation of space and form. The "Ombre Sbagliate" series reflects profound artistic research, which lies at the intersection of visual art, science and philosophy, showing how art can open new ways to understand the world around us.

"Text by the Artist"

In 1997, after my thesis at the European Institute of Design in Turin, I worked as a freelance illustrator for a short period. However, I then abandoned this path to dedicate myself to a completely different job. In 2000 I published what I thought would be my first comic, but I had no idea that it would remain the only one bearing my name for the next 20 years.

At the beginning of 2020, I decided to take back my passion for comics and started working seriously on a personal project, writing and drawing stories that I had had in mind for some time. Coincidentally, in those days, a courageous publisher contacted me with the idea of making a new edition of my first comic published at the beginning of the century, which gave me the push needed to continue pursuing my dream.

Since then, I've reached out to several online publishers and am working on new illustrated stories that I can't wait to share with the public. Meanwhile, starting in 2014, I also started another personal project called "WRONG SHADOWS," which initially started with Bic pens. As of 2021, this project has gained new life thanks to the collaboration with Mycrom Art. I am excited to share my work with anyone who wants to see my artistic creations.
